This week we’re going to discuss one of men’s fashion heavyweights, that cater for the masses; Firetrap. They’ve been leading the way with men’s designer fashion for nigh-on 10 years now and are still at the cutting edge of design, quality and price; as they won’t require you to remortgage to update your wardrobe.

First on my list of new-in, must-haves is the Firetrap Dire t-shirt in Navy, now don’t let it’s name put you off because this tee is anything but “dire”. Now it won’t be to everyone’s taste, as it has stripes and the faint tie-dye look isn’t going to appeal to all of you but let me tell you that this has a huge USP (Unique Selling Point), the tie-dye design is unique to each tee. Not another t-shirt will look like yours, it’s as individual as you are.

Everyone needs an amazing pair of jeans, and I think this week, we’ve struck denim gold, if there is such a thing with the Firetrap B-Moon Jeans in a light stone wash.

Boasting 99% Cotton/1% Lycra, they’re extremely lightweight, the twisted seam design offers a multi-dimensional look that will suit most body types. The contrasting stitching of the seams and pockets give a little more detail for your money.

Last on the list, but by in no means last place, we have the a fantastic pair of boardshorts with the Firetrap Trigger short.

They’re the perfect pair for summer, for a day at the beach, on holiday with your mates, or for simply going swimming in. The mesh lining, will give all the support you need for those of you who wish to go frolicking in the sea or at your local pool, or are just as perfect for lounging around the pool while sunning yourself wherever your fancy takes you.

With elasticated white ankle cuffs, buttons and press-studs, all of which contrast yet compliment the bright blue hue of the jean itself.

Welcome back to another TDF Fashion Blog. I hope you’re all well & that the weather is of a reasonable state where you are. Now as you may recall last week, I wrote an item called “Get the look … Gio-Goi”, well this week I’m going to do the same, focusing mainly on Firetrap but with a few other brands thrown in for good measure. Unfortunately, we don’t have a “glamorous” assistant this week, just a mannequin who I shall call M!

M is wearing two items from Firetrap, one from Duck and Cover and “his” footwear are Deakins. Lets start with his tops and work our way to his footwear.

Duck and Cover, a brand name that has taken its name from a defensive action used during WWII, now a hugely successful brand, that caters to all men, of all ages. This Rory shirt, in spa blue, is simple in its detail but what it lacks in detail, it pulls back with desirability and functionality. Each piece of D&C is designed with you in mind, to stand the test of time, no matter what you throw at it. The contrasting creamy-white buttons and stitching compliments the light blue hue of the shirt.

M wears Firetrap Astro tee in white; now this is a simple and understated vneck t-shirt that compliments every other item on this outfit. The white sits very well, when worn under the Duck and Cover shirt and contrasts the dark blue wash of the jeans.

Now I know these are jeans, Firetrap Hepco jeans and M appears to be wearing shorts, but the legs have simply been rolled up to offer more versatility with one item. Many people would simply buy a pair of jeans, to wear them as jeans, but having rolled the legs up, M now has two looks for the price of one. If the weather should turn, as is always the way here, then you can unroll the legs and you’re back in jeans. The dark blue hue contrasts the white of the t-shirt, but sits well with the D&C spa blue shirt and the blue Deakins below.

Finally, M wears Deakins Danver, in blue. Now these have been selling
like hot cakes and it’s clear to see why. The simple style can be teamed perfectly with most items in your wardrobe and the inoffensive blue compliments all three items in this outfit.

I hope you’re all well and thanks for coming back to read another of my crazy little insights, this week we’re going to go down a slightly different route to the previous ones I’ve done.

This week, it’s all about getting the right look, whether it be for a day out with your mates, a Sunday afternoon down at the pub, going to the office, or just generally dossin’ about!!

I’m assuming that if you’re reading this, you may know a thing or two about what items go with what in your wardrobe, and how to put outfits together, and co-ordinate what you wear

Our model, C, is wearing items of Gio-Goi that are all available at TDF Fashion, so lets starts at the top and work our way down.

Offering a cool, understated style, this Gio-Goi Relentless sleeveless hooded top can be worn casually over a t-shirt (as above) or underneath a jacket when the weather isn’t at its best, to offer an alternative look. The simple style will be suited to most, and the grey colour will sit well with any other colour of your choice, whether it be purple, blue, black, yellow, green, red or white, like we have. This is one piece that will suit everyone no matter what your taste.

Underneath his sleeveless hoody, C wears one of our best sellers, the Gio-Goi Twofinger t-shirt in white… this has been a huge hit for many reasons. This season, and for the next few seasons to come, graphic tees will be HUGE. The outlandish design, despite being black and white, is sure to grab the attention of anyone that sees it! Working our way down, C, wears one of our favorite denim shorts, Gio-Goi Hermanz. Drop crotch jeans have been around for a few years now, and whatever you may call them yourself, you can’t deny the fact that they’re selling like hot-cakes. Last spring-summer, Gio-Goi were one of the first brands to introduce the “drop-crotch short”. With their cuff-band waist, contrasting white press-studs, buttons and thick draw-string cord, these beauts are sure to make you stand out from the crowd.

Now I know technically, these pumps aren’t Gio-Goi, they’re Lacoste but as this week is all about achieving the right look, they kinda had to be worn in-conjunction with the rest of this outfit. Also worn by C, they match the grey hue of the Relentless hoody perfectly, contrast well with the dark blue hue of the Hermanz shorts and compliment the Twofinger t-shirt, making this one fantastic summer outfit you just have to have.

Well it’s been about 6 days since my last post and to be honest other than the weather we don’t have much to report, we’ve had quite a few new arrivals, that will bring a smile to your face in the midst of this turbulent weather. One minute it’s blazing gorgeous sunshine, the next it’s blowing a gale and lashing us with snow and rain, I wish it’d make its mind up and settle on one, then again they do call it “Mother Nature”, to be this turbulent it had to be a woman. I’m joking of course!

Moving on swiftly before anyone attempts to harm me, this week I’d like to talk to you about polo’s, now the original design hasn’t changed much over the years and to this day, the simple design and lines are what captivates us the most.

The undisputed and original king of the polo t-shirt has to be Fred Perry; with it’s laid back and simple designs that are as timeless today as they were way back in 1952, original labelled as a “tennis shirt”, it became an overnight success, with the original only being available in white.

Today sees the addition of multiple colours and takes on the classic polo; design features that never age. Fred Perry know how to do style and they do it simply and in a very basic fashion. You only have to look at one of their ranges or pieces, and you know it’s a Fred Perry item, and the piece you see left is no exception. From the wonderful cut of the material to the contrasting, pocket detailing, collar and laurel. It’s a timeless piece that if you’re lucky to get your hands on, will grow old with you.

In stark contrast to Fred Perry, Superdry who have only been on the scene since 2004, who are technically still babies in this field, are now leading the way with bright and funky styles that are instantly recognisable as Superdry pieces.

Their polo’s have slightly shorter sleeves, than other brands, the stiff collar which can be worn up or down, the “Superdry Orange Label” cut-out tab, that is sown into the lower left seem of the sleeve. Whether the piece be one colour, two colours, striped or with the original American-PseudoJapanese design, each piece is instantly recognisable and will be for many years to come.

Finally but by no means in last place, as they are currently the underdog in this “polo race”, we have Voi. A brand synonymous with vibrancy, desirability, durability, but most of all affordability. Their mantra, is “Engineered for You”, and that’s how Voi want to make you feel, like each piece of their clothing was designed with you in mind, to fit your body style, to make you feel like a custom piece of clothing that’s tailored to your needs and your needs only.

Their polo’s are storming through from behind, kicking all other opposition swiftly to the curb, their use of colour and patterns simply aren’t matched in today’s current market.

Sorry we’ve been a little quiet of late, we’ve been rushed off our feet trying to find space for the masses of new spring summer stock that has arrived, but we’ve done it and we know you’ll be happy with the results.

This week we’re going to focus all our attention on one brand,a brand that has since 1996, made every product with the finest attention to detail, making sure their products are the best that they can be so that we are 100% satisfied with the end result. That brand is Duck and Cover, who have always been forward-looking and straight-talking so that they can give you everything you want and more from their clothes.

For a change we’ll lead with jeans. I know, I know, it’s officially spring time, and the majority of us will have cracked out the shorts, due the mini heat wave we’ve been having. BUT let me assure you that if you do want a pair of jeans, Duck and Cover will give you a pair of jeans like you’ve never had before. These Oxygen Rio 4D Jeans are simply divine, in every way, from the cut around your thighs, to the attention to detail that has been bestowed upon them in the stitching. The contrasting orange tab on the waistband, zip above the right pocket and stitching all compliment the dark blue hue of the jeans perfectly.

Our next new arrivals this week are t-shirts. T-shirts should be a good solid base of any mans wardrobe, whether they be plain and crew necked or fancy, glittery with an ultra-low v. Every man should have a good selection and this again is where Duck and Cover prevails.

Here we only have a very small, and do mean really small, selection of t-shirts for you to see, but they’re two of my personal favorites. The striped v-neck (Dylan) on the right, is a classic summer t-shirt with its nautical inspired design and matching colour coordinated pocket, and contrasting Duck and Cover logo and stitched button hole. It’s already a best-seller, so you better be quick if you want it. The twilight crew neck (Carter), you see left is sure to be a summer smash with it’s eye-catching dark blue hue, contrasting orange and grey striped pocket, with navy blue eyelets and grey stitching around the perimeter.

It won’t be long before any of these are huge summer smashes for us, and at the prices we have them selling at, it’s practically day-light robbery.

The time has come to for me to introduce you to some of our newest and hottest pieces from our New In section.

This week, we’re going to kick off with one of the leading brands who provide street-wear for the masses; Bench.

Since the dawn of time, (well 1989 when Bench first set up shop in Manchester), they have provided urban inspired designs, that have catered to the masses of young men, who  want funky and rugged clothing without paying through the nose for it, and this X-Ray City tee stays true to their original mantra.

The intricate detail of the speakers, buildings, DJ decks and boom-box show just much time and effort goes into each piece to make you feel like a million dollars.

Next on the list of New In and hottest styles, are Mish-Mash who let their jeans do the talking and the walking. Each pair of Mish-Mash’s’ jeans are designed to be able to take on the hustle and bustle of daily life. Whether it be out playing in the park with the kids, dinner with missus, drinks with the lads or just general everydayness. Their jeans are designed to stand the test of time and look as good today, tomorrow and next week, as they did on the day you bought them. These Nida-Lyte jeans are no exception to those principles, the stone wash design from the thigh to the shin is design to get better with age, and contrast with the dark blue jean of the jean, the patchwork rear pockets are designed to be strong to hold your keys, wallets, spare change and mobile phone. All in all a pretty fantastic pair of jeans, that will probably last just as long as you do.

The final item on the New In hot-list this week is the Jack & Jones Pop Hoody (left). I know in recent weeks I’ve spoken about shorts and t-shirts, as the summer is fast approaching but as is always the way, we can never be too sure what the weather will do.

Now, Jack & Jones has always been a favourite of ours, for it’s funky and original styling at prices that will make your eyes literally pop out of your head, and this hoody is no exception. The vintage inspired design on the front will certainly grab your attention and of those around you, the contrasting blue hue of the hoody is unlike any blue I think I’ve seen before, as an item of clothing you can’t ask for anymore. This week we’re going to be focusing all our efforts into one of our favourite brands, Firetrap. A brand that has been around since 1991, offering mens premium designer wear and accessories without the designer price tag.

As the seasons are changing and it’s supposed to get warmer (hopefully), we’ll focus this week on t-shirts. Again, as is always the way with Firetrap they’ve offered class leading looks and styles at prices that won’t rip your arm and your leg off.

Being a British brand and with St. George’s Day fast approaching, Firetrap have created a very British and patriotic design within their Spring/Summer collection.
As we all know one of the images quite often associated with  Britain is the British Bulldog, it’s been a reoccurring theme for Firetrap in recent seasons, with the Bulldog taking on many guises.

This time though, we see it relaxing in among some grass with a few empties around it, it’s a way that a few will spend our summer.

Another image associated with British-ness is of course the Union Jack. The washed out design on this t-shirt is still very clear without being too in-yer-face!

In recent seasons Firetrap have taken to printing their name backwards across the front of the t-shirt. Underneath Firetrap are the words “Born In Britain”, all of their designs are created right here on these British shores.

Steering far far away from the British theme, our next piece is simply called “Reincarnation“.

If you look closely at the design, you will see that it is very detailed, from the ‘virgins’ at the bottom, to snakes around the neck, to the ‘all-seeing eye’ in the centre of the skull. It’s a very intricate design that you won’t want to miss out on.

Let’s hope this summer is a hot and sunny as it’s suggested to be so you can crack out one of the fantastic pieces to impress your mates, and if the worst comes to the worst, you can always lay out in the living room with your bulldog tee on and your bevvy of choice

We’ve been a little quite of late but we’re back and with some wicked new styles from just a few of the amazing brands we offer, here at TDF Fashion.

This week we have new arrivals from Jack & Jones, Gio-Goi and Firetrap, and first on the list of our little beauties is Jack and Jones.

How can you not want this t-shirt? Granted it’s not the brightest colour but with that huge smiley face on the front; you need it in your wardrobe, teamed with this pair of shorts, and these plimsolls, you will have the perfect summer look.

Last but by no means least, a personal favourite of mine is this Firetrap t-shirt. Yes, it’s a maroon, which is hardly a colour associated with Spring/Summer but the stripe detailing really catches the eye, well it certainly caught mine.

The pocket on the left breast and contrasting button, adds a little extra detail without being too OTT, again this t-shirt would be perfect teamed with shorts and flip-flops or pumps.
